This is another one where you can go homemade or store bought. I usually default to store bought, but I try to use the butteriest biscuits. For this one, use “Pillsbury™ Grands! or Simply Buttermilk biscuits. It seems to usually take one tube for two pies but this is depends on how thin you want your crust. You take the requisite number of biscuits and kneed them together. Throw a little flour on a clean working surface and roll this ball out big enough to cover the pan. You should butter the pan, but it’s not essential. Bake in the oven as instructed on the package or until golden on the edges. Allow to cool and put in a Ziploc bag. Place in the fridge till ready to fill. This crust is an essential ingredient for the Elvis Special.
